UDL, a Natural Extension of UD and Neuroscience

The term Universal Design for Learning (UDL) was coined by CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology), which found that UD principles could be applied to developing useful educational tools.

The objective of UDL is to provide a blueprint for creating those flexible tools, goals, methods, materials, and assessments that accommodate learner differences.

UDL is also a natural extension of current neuroscience research which has found that each brain processes information differently.
