The Kurzweil 3000 Read The Web extension for Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Chrome allows you to have web content read aloud to you in your choice of 30 different text-to-speech voices. Login to your Kurzweil 3000 Read the Web extension using your Kurzweil 3000 account information.

Instructions to add Read the Web to Firefox

   Click on the following link.

   Firefox will ask if you want to allow kurzweiledu.com to install an add-on. Click 'Continue to Installation' and then click 'Add'.

Instructions to add Read the Web to Microsoft Edge

    Using Microsoft Edge, go to the Read the Web product page: Edge Add-ons page and click 'Get' and then 'Add Extension'

Instructions to add Read the Web to Chrome

    Using Chrome, go to the Read the Web product page in the Chrome Web Store and click on 'Add to Chrome'

Universal Library Upload Utility (Windows)

The Universal Library Uploader utility is a Windows standalone tool that uploads files or folders into the Universal Library web storage. Once uploaded, these files become available via the Kurzweil 3000 Windows and Macintosh desktop web license editions, Kurzweil 3000 for Web Browsers website (Kurzweil3000.com).

Note: You can use the Kurzweil 3000 app for Macintosh to upload files in bulk; you do not need to use this utility for that.

This update includes the following new features:

• The ability to cancel the upload of a single document during the uploading of multiple documents using the upload folder feature. If the cancel button on the status dialog is pressed during a file upload, the user is asked if they want to cancel the remaining uploads.
• Improvements to cleaning up after a file upload is cancelled. Previously, a fragment file could remain on the UL if an upload was cancelled, which could not be opened and would require deletion before uploading again.
• The ability to paste in a path to the source file or folder to be uploaded. Previously the user was required to always browse to select the source file or folder.
• Small improvements in application operation and error checking.
